Yamaha’s most popular scooter in the international market is the TMax. Recently, the company launched the 2024 version of this two-wheeler with a captivating design. The Maxi scooter boasts a 560cc engine that delivers power similar to that of an adventure bike. It is widely recognized in Japan, but the question arises – will it come to India?
You’ll find abundant under-seat storage, where adventurers can carry their essentials, and Yamaha claims the seat is comfortable for pillion riders. Maxi-style scooters like these have gained significant popularity in today’s era, especially in European countries. Though, it would be a mistake to say that this type of scooters’ trend is not prevalent at all in India. Yamaha itself sells the Maxi-style scooter named Aerox 155 in India, and alongside, Suzuki Burgman is also on the list. Soon, Indian company Hero MotoCorp has announced the launch of a Maxi scooter named Hero Xoom 160, that promises high performance coupled with great design and features.
However, whether Yamaha TMax 560 will be launched in India is still uncertain, as the demand for high CC scooters is not very significant in the country.Yet, with changing preferences in the Indian market, the landscape for two-wheelers, including Maxi-style scooters, might see a transformation soon.
