As promised before, Bajaj Pulsar NS160 and NS200 have been introduced in a new avatar.In response to the ongoing criticisms, Bajaj has launched these bikes in India with further modern features and masculine looks, specially for young generations in India.The updated versions of the highly popular Pulsar NS160 and NS200 come with price tags of ₹1.46 lakh and ₹1.55 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. From design elements to overall features, both bikes have undergone significant changes, that will enable them to keep pace with time as well, according to experts.
In terms of design, the most noticeable change in both NS 160 and NS 200 is in the headlight unit. Replacing the halogen-light from it’s birth, the new models feature LED headlights, though the headlight housing remains similar to the previous version. A new DRLs are added on both sides of the LED light.
Both bikes from Bajaj’s popular NS series showcase LED lights for the first time. Also, with it’s sharp design, a muscular fuel tank and other prominent body panels have added more robustness to the overall looks of the bike. Additionally, the split-seat setup is retained as the previous models to maintain the overall naked street-fighter look as well.
With the design changes, modern features have also been introduced to these long-standing models from Bajaj. The semi-digital instrument console, seen for long years, is now replaced with a new digital display. This display provides essential information such as odometer, speedometer, tachometer, fuel indicator, and also includes smartphone connectivity options. When connected to a mobile phone, riders can receive calls and SMS alerts on the bike’s instrument console.
The engine specifications too remain unchanged. The Bajaj Pulsar NS160 features a 160.3 cc engine with maximum 16.96 BHP of power and 14.6 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the NS200 boasts a 199.5 cc engine that produces 24.16 BHP of power at 9,750 RPM and 18.74 Nm of torque at 8,000 RPM.
For suspension, both bikes feature USD forks(Upside-down)at the front and a mono-shock absorber at the rear. The braking system includes disc brakes on both wheels with a dual-channel ABS. The bikes ride on 17-inch alloy wheels, both at the front and rear
