Tata Nexon CNG: Tata is bringing India’s first turbo CNG car. Check out the pictures

In the current scenario of environmental-friendly transportation, the electric car is gaining ground alongside the CNG model. Therefore, many companies are launching CNG versions side by side their IC/Electric models.For example, the name of Tata Nexon SUV can be mentioned.It offers both Petrol/Diesel and Battery versions. Now, in this car,Tata Motors is introducing a turbocharged CNG engine, making it the first model in the country to have a turbo CNG powertrain.

India Mobility Global Expo 2024:

At the India Mobility Global Expo 2024, Tata will showcase the Nexon model with its first turbo engine, but in a concept version.In the recently released image of Nexon iCNG, the latest design of the facelift version, that has been launched recently, is visible.Tata states that the upcoming model will feature a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine with an output of 118 bhp and 170 Nm torque.It will offer both manual and automatic transmissions.

Tata Nexon CNG Features & Specifications:

Tata Nexon CNG incorporates Twin Cylinder technology, a technology previously introduced in their hatchback Altroz and Punch CNG models. This technology replaces a large cylinder with two smaller ones, optimizing luggage space.The Nexon CNG will have two 30-liter cylinders

Regarding design, the Nexon CNG will showcase an identical layout to the facelift version, launched by Tata last year. It features new signature LED DRLs and connected LED lightbar, along with new headlights and fog lamps. A fresh grille and bumper design is also be visible upfront. The rear also includes matching connected LED taillights. Again, the dimensions will remain the same as the Nexon facelift SUV.

Though Tata hasn’t disclosed the launch date for the Nexon CNG ,yet it is expected to hit the market later this year.In Indian market, this car will compete with Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG and other models.
