The demand for adventure motorcycles is growing among Indian buyers. Suzuki is now entering the field to meet this demand with the V-Strom 800 DE that is showcased at the ‘India Mobility Global Expo 2024’. The motorcycle, previously displayed in Japan, is currently undergoing testing in the Indian market and is expected to launch by the end of this year.
Suzuki introduces the V-Strom 800 DE with a new 776cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine, producing 83 bhp power and 78 Nm torque. It features a 6-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quick-shifter, claiming a fuel efficiency of 22.7 km/l. The motorcycle has dimensions of 975mm length, 975mm width, and 1,310mm height, with a wheelbase of 1,570mm and a ground clearance of 220mm. Weighing 230 kg with a seat height of 855mm, it may pose challenges for shorter riders.
V-Strom 800 DE Features:
Key features of the V-Strom 800 DE include LED lighting, Ride-by-Wire, fuel injection, Suzuki Easy Start System, Low RPM Assist, and a three-adjustable windshield. It also comes with a USB socket for mobile charging, under protector, knuckle covers, traction control, and a 5-inch TFT screen.
The motorcycle is equipped with a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels with tube-type tires. It features 90/90 section front and 150/70 section rear tires, highlighting its capability for off-road adventures.
