Electric scooters are less affordable’, Sokudo Electric has proven this perception wrong by launching three new models simultaneously in the Indian market.Thinking about the price tag? Well we’ll get to that soon. But before, let’s explore the attractive features of these three models.

Sokudo has launched three electric scooters

Let’s first take a look at the names of the three scooters. They are – Select 2.2, Rapid 2.2, and Plus (Lithium). Each falls under the central government’s project FAME II what makes them eligible for government subsidies. However, there’s no place of denial that few incidents of catching fire recently on battery-operated scooters have, indeed, instilled a fear among customers. But, Sokudo affirmed that these models will completely eliminate that fear of fire as these models are equipped with lithium-ion ferro-phosphate batteries which are ‘fire-resistant’.

For charging facilities, there has a 15-amp converter in these models. It’s worth noting that the Plus model is a slow-paced scooty, that means it doesn’t require either a license or need to have registration from the Regional Transport Office (RTO). Now, let’s find out the prices of these three electric scooters.

The launch prices for Sokudo’s Select 2.2, Rapid 2.2, and Plus are set at ₹85,889, ₹79,889, and ₹59,889 respectively. Each Prices are ex-showroom. Despite being less expensive; they offer substantial ranges too. These scooters can cover approximately 100 km, 100 km, and 105 km on a single full charge respectively.Bodies of these scooters have been made of 3.5 mm to 5.25 mm thick ABS plastic.

The battery pack comes with a three-year warranty, and the entire model offers a five-year warranty. The company has announced a 36% growth in the sale of its 2023 batch. With the launch of these three electric scooters, Sokudo hopes to capture 15-20% of India’s electric two-wheeler market optimistically.
