Maruti Suzuki is yet to enter the electric car market, while competitors are actively selling their electric cars. This has left the Indo-Japanese company frustrated, prompting them to unveil their first EV model, Maruti Suzuki eVX, at the ‘India Mobility Expo 2024’ in New Delhi. The expectation is that it will be launched in the Indian market later this year.
The eVX, showcased at the Tokyo Mobility Show last year, will be officially launched in India towards the end of this year. It’s a mid-sized SUV that incorporates domestic technology and has plans for international release.
Recent spy shots of the camouflaged Maruti Suzuki eVX during testing in India have revealed features like LED lighting setup, connected-style tail lamps, ADAS, 360-degree camera, dual-screen setup, and more. The estimated price for the eVX is around 20-25 lakh INR.
