The company is set to bring a new electric scooter, named ‘Rizta’, that is claimed to offer the largest and most comfortable seat in the segment. Unlike a sporty design, it is said to have a family-oriented design for easy and elegant usage by all family members.The launch date for Ather Rizta has been announced by the company and it may be April 6th.Ather’s ‘Community Day Event’ is also taking place on the same day.
The design of Ather Rizta is crafted with the consideration of providing a comfortable riding experience on the road, where riders can feel at ease with their fellow passengers. In other words, it is designed as a family scooter, featuring a boxy style and a spacious seat. Prior to this, the company compared the seat with a popular petrol scooter in India to showcase how much wider and longer the seat of Rizta is.

Ather Rizta has undergone multiple testing sessions on the roads of India. A comedian and content creator shared a picture of this scooter on his Instagram account. It is equipped with a 2.9 kW power battery pack and a 5.4 kW electric motor. Noteworthy features include the Ather 450S LCD instrument console and a pillion grab rail.

For the driver’s safety, Ather Rizta features both front and rear disc brakes, along with CBS for enhanced handling. However, details about the type of suspension used for a comfortable riding experience are yet to be disclosed by Ather.

Following its launch, Ather Rizta could be priced at 1.3 lakh INR (ex-showroom, subject to FAME II incentives). In the market, it competes with Ola S1 X+ and TVS iQube.
