The Husqvarna Svartpilen 801 is set to launch in the global market on March 19. Before that, the company released a teaser of the prototype model on YouTube, creating excitement among motorcycle enthusiasts. This bike will utilize the platform of the KTM 790 Duke. It’s important to note that the Svartpilen 801 is not currently available for sale in India; it’s exclusively for the international market.
The Svartpilen 801 boasts a powerful 799cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine, generating up to 103 bhp. The mill is mated to a six-speed gearbox and a bi-directional quick-shifter for a dynamic performance.
Admiration for the design of Husqvarna’s bike is well-known worldwide, and the Svartpilen 801 is no exception. Despite the camouflage body shown in the teaser, there’s hope that anyone on the road will witness the bike with intense eager. Though the design details are currently kept under wraps it will feature a sharp tank shroud, a slim fuel tank, and a sleek seat. Additionally, it includes a circular LED headlamp with a short fly screen. At the rear, there’s a U-shaped LED tail lamp.
The motorcycle comes with alloy wheels, offering dual-purpose tubeless tires similar to those seen on the Svartpilen 401. It features an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with disc brakes on both wheels. Suspension duties are handled by USD front forks and a rear mono-shock unit. As of now, there’s no indication of Svartpilen 801 entering the Indian market, especially because in this segment, siblings, KTM 790 Duke has not made any significant impressions since it’s launch.
