Currently, the sedan car market is lagging behind day by day with respect to SUV. Therefore, to create a buzz in this arena, Honda is taking drastic steps to introduce a new version of car in their sedan line-up. According to sources, the Japanese company is set to release the third generation of their popular Amaze model into the market this very year. If everything goes well, the car could hit the market during the festive season of 2024. The company is already gearing up for its production internally.
New Honda Amaze is coming
Since 2018, the Honda Amaze hasn’t received significant updates. Currently, Honda sells the second-generation model in the market. The new version will be based on the platforms of City and Elevate. The overall length of the car may be reduced compared to the current available model, with the wheelbase measuring 2,470 mm.Though,specific details regarding the external design of the new Honda Amaze, are yet to be revealed. The cabin might feature a free-standing touchscreen setup, similar to the one present in Elevate. It may share some features with other Honda models sold in India.
New Honda Amaze will come only with a petrol engine
The third-generation Amaze model will come with a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing a maximum power of 90 bhp and 110 Nm of torque. The car will be available with a 5-speed manual or CVT automatic gearbox option. This time, the car is expected to skip the diesel engine option.
Launch timing and Rivals of new Honda Amaze
According to reports, the new generation Honda Amaze could make its presence in the Indian market during the festive season of 2024. After the launch, it will compete with Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura, and Tata Tigor.
