Yesterday, on January 23, Hero MotoCorp unveiled their premium bike Mavrick 440 on the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the brave son of India. This motorcycle, a collaboration between Hero and Harley-Davidson, is the second model based on the Harley-Davidson X440. However, Mavrick 440 has a distinct style compared to the X440.
Booking for Hero Mavrick 440 will commence from February, with deliveries starting in April. It comes in five different colors and three variants. The pricing hasn’t been officially announced, but it is expected to be the most expensive model from Hero in India, positioning itself above Karizma.
Mavrick 440 boasts muscular styling, LED DRL headlights, and wide handlebars. The instrument console features an LCD screen, and it offers Bluetooth connectivity for call and SMS alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, and various connected features through a mobile app. The LED projector is used in the headlamp, and the entire bike features full LED lighting setup. It also includes USB Type-C port for charging various devices.
Similar to Harley X440, Hero Mavrick 440 is powered by a 440cc single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine, producing 27 bhp and 36 Nm torque. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox, 43mm telescopic front forks, and rear mono-shock suspension. The braking duties are handled by dual-channel ABS with disc brakes on both wheels.
In the Indian market, Hero Mavrick 440 will compete with Royal Enfield Classic 350, Jawa 350, and Honda CB350. The bike will be sold through Hero’s new premium dealership network called ‘Hero Premia,’ alongside other models like X440, Karizma XMR, and Vida V1.
