In the market of passenger cars in India, Renault India is immersed in the dream of showcasing its dominance. So, they have rolled up their sleeves. Meanwhile, the long-reigning Maruti Suzuki seems unfazed. Nevertheless, Renault is making efforts to compete in France. Recently, Renault has launched the most affordable automatic transmission-equipped car in India, the new Kwid RXL(O) Easy-R AMT trim, priced lower than Maruti Suzuki Alto K10’s automatic variant.
But that’s not all; Renault is gearing up to introduce five new cars on Indian roads within the next three years. One of them is the iconic model, Renault Duster, making a comeback in India after a long hiatus. Despite this, the newly launched Renault Kwid AMT comes with a price of INR 5.44 lakh (ex-showroom), which is lower than Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 AMT priced at INR 5.61 lakh. In other words, the first one is more budget-friendly.
The new automatic variant of Renault Kwid will feature a 999cc three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, generating a maximum power of 68 bhp and 91 Nm torque. The car has added a new level to its design with three dual-tone exterior body colors. In its segment, it claims to be the most affordable dual-tone colored model.
Noteworthy features in Renault Kwid AMT include an 8-inch touchscreen media NAV system, rear seatbelt reminder, and over 14 safety features. According to the company, it comes with the highest safety features in its segment. Renault believes that the car will win the hearts of customers from all aspects, including price and design.
