Finally, the BYD Seal EV, also known as Build Your Dreams India (BYD), has made its entry into the Indian market. It’s an electric car with a sleek sedan design. Unveiled at Auto Expo 2023, it offers two battery options: the Dynamic Range model with a 61.44 kWh battery and the Premium Range and Performance variants with an 82.56 kWh battery. The booking cost for this car is ₹1.25 lakh.

The Dynamic Range and Premium Range variants feature rear-wheel-drive powertrains, while the Performance variant offers an all-wheel-drive option. Each variant has a different output, with ex-showroom prices of ₹41 lakh, ₹45.55 lakh, and ₹53 lakh, respectively.
The output for Dynamic Range is 201 bhp and 310 Nm, Premium Range produces 308 bhp power and 360 Nm torque, and Performance variant delivers 522 bhp power and 670 Nm torque.
Dynamic Range claims a maximum range of 510 km on a full charge and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds. Premium Range, with a combined range of 650 km, accelerates in 5.9 seconds. The Performance variant, with a range of 580 km on a full charge, achieves a swift 3.8 seconds for 0 to 100 km/h.
BYD Seal EV comes in four color options: Aurora White, Cosmic Black, Atlantis Grey, and Arctic Blue. It has already secured a 5-star rating in Euro NCAP and ANCAP crash tests. Noteworthy cabin features include a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel, a digital driver display, and a rotating touchscreen infotainment system. Additionally, it offers a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, ventilated seats, wireless charging, and second-tier ADAS features.
