In the 2024 India Mobility Show, Bajaj Auto has launched their flex-fuel powered motorcycles. These include the Pulsar NS160 Flex and Dominar E27.5. Both models can run on a blend of petrol and ethanol. Today’s discussion is centered around the Dominar E27.5. Let’s delve into details about this model.
Bajaj Dominar E27.5
The Dominar E27.5 is essentially the flex-fuel version of the Dominar 400. Named so because it can run on a blend of 27.5% ethanol with petrol. Note that the 2024 model of the Bajaj Dominar 400 could run on E20 (20% ethanol blend). To enable it to run on a higher blend of ethanol, this new model has been introduced.However, compared to other bikes showcased at the 2024 India Mobility Show, the Dominar is still behind in ethanol ratio.
For most flex-fuel motorcycles showcased, they have the capability to run on a blend of petrol and ethanol up to 85%.Anyway,the Dominar 400 has undergone no changes in other aspects apart from the engine. Like before, it features a 373cc liquid-cooled engine, capable of delivering 8,800 RPM maximum power at 39.5 BHP and 6,500 RPM maximum torque at 35 Nm. It still comes with a 6-speed gearbox.
Bajaj Dominar E27.5 Features :
Key features present in the Bajaj Dominar 400 include full LED lighting, dual-channel ABS, and a negative LCD display. Suspension-wise, it comes with 43mm upside-down front forks and a gas-charged monoshock. Additionally, it has a 320mm front and 230mm rear disc brakes. Bajaj hasn’t disclosed when the Dominar’s flex-fuel version will be launched.
