Ather Energy is known for their high-tech electric scooters. Recently, they launched the 450 Apex in celebration of completing a decade in the market.The company has announced the commencement of deliveries for this flagship electric scooter.It is available in limited edition with a specified quantity and price kept at Rs. 1.89 lakh(ex-showroom).
The delivery of Ather 450 Apex has commenced
Apart from color variations, the Ather 450 Apex has also seen some upgrades in performance. For instance, it now features a new blue and orange color scheme and a transparent panel. The company offers this color exclusively with the performance scooter. Speaking of performance, it can reach a maximum speed of 100 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in 2.9 seconds.
The initial acceleration has increased by 13%, and in the 40-80 km/h range, it has seen a 30% improvement compared to its predecessor. The responsible party for this acceleration and top speed enhancement is the PMS motor. Now it can produce a power of 7 kW instead of 6.3 kW previously. However, the peak torque remains same at 26 Nm as of prior. Instead of Warp, it now features the Warp+ mode.
The most notable addition to the 450 Apex is the new Magic Twist feature.Under its umbrella there has a Negative Throttle. It allows the accelerator to be turned in the opposite direction to reduce speed. Currently, Ather Energy is working on a new family scooter named Ather Rizta. It is poised to be the largest-seated scooter, boasting features like a touchscreen instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity, Google Maps, and more.
