Ducati recently launched a pair of formidable bikes in India – the Streetfighter V4 and Streetfighter V4 S. In the Indian market, these two superbikes are priced at Rs. 24.62 lakh and Rs. 27.80 lakh respectively (ex-showroom). However, the price for the grey Nero color model of the V4 S is Rs. 28 lakh. In the Indian market, they face competition from the BMW S 1000 RR and Kawasaki Z H2.
Both motorcycles feature the incredibly powerful 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale engine. It can produce up to 205 BHP at 13,000 RPM and deliver a maximum torque of 123 NM at 9,500 RPM. To complement the high-powered engine, a 6-speed gearbox and bi-directional quick shifter are provided.
The Streetfighter V4 and V4 S come with the fuel tank from the Panigale V4, with a capacity of 16.5 liters. New side covers are present on both sides. Ducati offers a new ‘Wet’ riding mode on this model. The V4 S comes with a lithium-ion battery, which is 1.7 kg lighter than the previous one.
Notable features on the Streetfighter V4 and V4 S include semi-active Ohlins suspension and SmartEC 2.0 interface. The rims are made of aluminum alloy. The swingarm is 4 mm higher than before. New graphics are added to the instrument cluster. Cooling fans are updated to maintain the temperature accurately.
