Greaves Electric’s two-wheelers manufacturing unit Ampere, is set to bring a modernized battery-driven electric scooter to India specially for new generation. The company has recently applied to use for trademark of the two names Aspirus and Nexus.This approach of trademark application is considered to be very significant over Ampere’s ongoing preparations to launch an electric scooter.

Reports claim that the scooter will be based on the NXG e-scooter concept which was showcased at the Auto Expo last year and it is expected that the upcoming model might be named Ampere Nexus. Recently, Ampere has finished riding operations for electric scooters from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
The company has used the hashtag ‘NEX big thing’ for the upcoming model. Currently, the Primus scooter is sold as the flagship model by the company. It is hoped that the electric scooter which is based on NXG will find its place above the Primus.
Among the significant features of Ampere Nexus are a digital instrument console, LED lighting, a front disc brake, and connected tech, among others. It’s worth noting that trademarking a name doesn’t necessarily mean it will be used for the upcoming product. Detailed information will be provided after the launch of this model.
