A superbike means a blend of high-speed performance, extensive style, and modern features. Owning such a super bike is a dream for many of us. One of the biggest well-known brand in the super-biking world is the bike-maker Brabus. Another renowned entity in this segment is KTM. The aforesaid two companies jointly launched their first motorbike in 2022, named Brabus 1300 R. This bike was developed , based on the flagship model KTM 1290 Super Duke R. A new version of the Brabus 1300 R was also introduced to the market last year. Now, the two companies are working in collaboration to develop a new avatar of the existing model ,named Brabus 1400 R. The biggest highlight revolves around its type of engine.
Brabus 1400 R is coming to the market
Brabus 1400 R will come into the market based on the KTM 1390 Super Duke R (Evo). Therefore, it will make utilize the type of engine features in KTM’s model. Brabus has already applied for trademark of this name. Reports from various sources suggest that this bike will come in multiple variants: Brabus 1400 R Signature, Brabus 1400 R Tailor Made, and Brabus 1400 R Rocket.
Brabus has been stayed in the same position from tweaking motorcycle engines for a long time. Therefore, the Brabus 1400 R will use the same engine specifications as that of the 1390 Super Duke. This 1,350cc powertrain produces power up to 190 bhp at 10,000 RPM and maximum torque of 145 Nm at 8,000 RPM.
Even the chassis of this Brabus bike is also borrowed from KTM. It includes a chrome molybdenum steel tubular frame, aluminum single-sided swingarm, and semi-active control components from WP Suspension. Design-wise, the Brabus 1400 R features circular LED headlights and top-spec carbon fiber components.
This superbike could hit the market by the end of 2024. Company will launch it in limited edition. Moreover, it is expected that this model will be more costlier in comparison to KTM 1390. Though neither KTM nor Brabus has officially announced anything yet . There is also speculation that they might use the new KTM LC8 platform for this bike.
