Adventure motorcycles are creating a buzz in the Indian market.Fueled by the desire to explore remote paths mile after mile, the thrill-seeking young generation is behind the surge in demand of this types of bikes. Manufacturers are also not willing to miss out on the opportunity to cater to this demand , bringing new off-road bikes to the market. According to a report by an auto portal, Suzuki is set to launch in India, a new motorcycle named Suzuki V-Strom 800DE.

After the import of V-Strom 800DE components, it will be assembled then Suzuki will sell it across the country. Bookings will commence shortly after the official launch. A few months ago, the motorcycle was seen undergoing testing in India. Although Suzuki has been selling this bike in international markets for quite some time, the specifications for the Indian version are yet to be disclosed. Let’s take a closer look at what to expect.

Suzuki V-Strom 800DE Specifications:

The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE is equipped with a 776cc, twin-cylinder engine. It produces a maximum power of 83 bhp and 78 Nm of torque. The bike comes with a six-speed gearbox, and the engine is mounted on a steel chassis. Upfront, it features fully adjustable Showa USD front forks, and at the rear, there’s a monoshock suspension. The bike is equipped with a 21-inch front and a 17-inch rear disc brake. It will run on Dunlop Trailmax mixtour tires.

In the Indian version of the V-Strom 800DE, Suzuki may offer LED illumination, a 5-inch TFT display, traction control, Ride-by-Wire, Low RPM Assist, Bi-Directional Quick Shifter, ABS, various riding modes, and more. Accessories such as a center stand, top box, etc., might also be available. The motorcycle’s price in India is expected to be in the range of 10 to 11 lakh INR (ex-showroom).
