5 bikes with ABS features at very affordable price: Platina, Xtreme, Unicorn and more

In country like India, incidents of road accidents are the cause of heavy concern. Almost every day, two or four-wheeled vehicles face accidents in somewhere part of the country. That’s why from manufacturer’s side, there’s a greater emphasis on safety features in every automobiles especially public vehicles and therefore, Anti-lock Braking Systems (ABS) becoming more common and popular in every motor vehicle. Until now, ABS was available only on bikes with 160cc engines or above. However, since the past few years, it has started to appear on 125cc or lower engine of bikes. In contrast, now-a-days bikes with ABS features, are being launched for price as low as ₹80,000 (ex-showroom).

Bajaj Platina 110 ABS

Currently, the cheapest ABS (Single Channel ABS) equipped motorcycle in India is the Bajaj Platina 110 ABS, priced at just ₹79,821 (ex-showroom). It features a 115.45cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that produces 8.6 BHP and 9.81 Nm of torque.

Hero Xtreme 125R

The least expensive member on the list is the Hero Xtreme 125R’s ABS version, priced at ₹99,500 (ex-showroom). This sporty commuter bike comes with a 124.37cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine capable of producing a maximum power of 11.5 BHP and 10.5 Nm torque.

Honda Unicorn

To own the highly popular commuter bike Unicorn from the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Honda, you’ll need to spend ₹1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). This bike is equipped with single-channel ABS and features a 162.7cc single-cylinder engine, that is capable of producing a maximum of 13.47 BHP and 14.58 Nm torque.

Bajaj Pulsar 150

In the world of stylish commuter bikes, Bajaj Pulsar 150 has carved out a significant portion, whose ex-showroom price starts at ₹1.10 lakh and goes up to ₹1.15 lakh. It features a 149.5cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, DTS-i engine producing power and torque outputs of 14 BHP and 13.25 Nm respectively. The top model also comes with disc brakes on both wheels.Bajaj Pulsar N150The price of the Pulsar N150 ranges from ₹1.18 lakh to ₹1.24 lakh (ex-showroom).This naked bike produces 14.5 BHP and 13.5 Nm of torque. It has a five-gear transmission system and comes with single-channel ABS as a safety feature.
