Pulsar, a highly familiar brand in the Indian racing bike market. Various models of Pulsar can be seen dominating the country’s streets. This time, Bajaj Auto has introduced updated versions of the popular Pulsar NS200 and Pulsar NS160 with modern features. Addressing the previous complaint about the delayed updates to the Pulsar range, It seems therefore, Bajaj has now taken action. The 2024 Pulsar NS200 and Pulsar NS160 are equipped with features like Bluetooth, digital instrument cluster, and LED lights.
While the prices of the new Pulsar NS200 and NS160 are not officially announced, it is speculated to see a slight increase compared to the previous models. These bikes are among the most popular models in the Pulsar brand, and the addition of new features is expected to boost sales.
Pulsar NS200 Pulsar NS160 : New Features
The updates to both Pulsar NS200 and NS160 include LED headlights and LED daytime running lamps, replacing the previously used halogen headlamps, for better visibility on dark roads and modern aesthetics. Noteworthy updates also include a new digital instrument cluster with various indicators and controls accessible through the gear lever switch on the left. The display shows gear position indicator, mobile notification alerts, fuel economy, distance-to-empty, average fuel economy, and time.
In this new version of Pulsar, a digital unit replaces the analog tachometer, providing users with the option to receive or accept calls if desired. Connectivity with the Bajaj Ride Connect app allows users to connect their mobile devices to the motorcycle. Additionally, a USB charging port is included for phone charging.
Apart from the mentioned changes, there are no alterations to the performance of the Pulsar NS200 and NS160. The NS200 engine delivers 24.16 bhp at 9,750 RPM and 18.74 Nm torque at 8,000 RPM, while the NS160 produces 16.96 bhp at 9,000 RPM and 14.6 Nm torque at 7,250 RPM.
